What would happen to God In Oslo?

Just read of how an Indian couple in Oslo has been sentenced to jail for causing pain/injury to their children. Last year too, there was a similar case. In such a world, I really wonder for how long will God avoid going to jail. He mistreats his children day-in and day-out. And he is all too powerful to take the excuse that it is beyond HIM. He cam move mountains but can't take away even small miseries of his children. Would that be a fit case for a court in Oslo? I think so.

  1. very interesting take on the subject indeed! But its true, only if you feel that God is behind everything bad happening to the world. God doesn't slap or harm anyone as many Indian parents are inclined to do. Whatever happens to us is the result of our own doings, individual or collective. God made the mechanism of cause and effect, set it in motion and decided not to interfere. This is my personal take, Anyway it is a topic on which debate will never end.

  2. I agree Meenakshi. But most people attribute a more active role to God than a mere maker of the cause-n-effect law. They believe he is a 'daya ka sagar'(the merciful) and will come running barefooted when a believer calls.
Is he a 'merciful father' or a 'disinterested game designer'?
No one should be allowed to benefit from a deliberate ambiguity amongst two roles and use whichever suits him for the moment.
